Community Health Centers, Inc., is currently seeking two full-time RN Nursing Supervisor for various affiliated Center locations. |

| Primary Responsibilities: | ||
1. Ø Interview applicants for nursing positions; make hiring recommendations to Director of Nursing. Will be responsible for credential and personal references on recommended hire. Ø Orient and train new nursing personnel and students. Ø Will be required to evaluate nursing/laboratory/x-ray personnel at 90 day probation and annually thereafter. Ø Will be required to establish a monitoring atmosphere with supervised personnel and administer disciplinary policies in consultation with Director of Nursing when required. Ø Monitor staff for Hepatitis B testing series. Ø Schedule personnel on a monthly basis, evaluate need for overtime and insure proper coverage. Ø Develop staff vacation coverage plan. Ø Recommend that nurses attends appropriate courses, workshops, etc.; review requests from nursing; collect written course summaries if needed. Ø Meet with Director of Nursing, Administrative Services and or Financial Services Manager as required, establish meeting schedule to update appropriate staff of changes or problem solving solutions. Ø May be required to secure facility. Will be on rotation call-out in case of emergency. Ø May review and investigate patient complaints related to clinical operations and related patient satisfaction issues. Ø Will participate in all clinical QA activities.
2. Routine Nursing Duties (May perform any or all of these tasks at least 50% of the time) Ø Collect patient history, gather information pertinent to visit and document. Ø Communicate with clinician regarding patient care. Ø Assist patient and clinician in exam areas. Ø Administer immunizations and injections. Ø Give treatments/procedures as directed. Ø Label and process specimens. Ø Draw blood from patients Ø Assist clinicians Ø May start IVs 3. OtherØ Order medical supplies and maintain medical equipment. Ø Review/update nursing procedures annually or as indicated. Ø Monitor that instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, stored for procedures. Ø Monitor logs associated with laboratory and x-ray departments. Ø Adjust patient schedules in case of emergencies or illnesses. Ø Work with appropriate center staff to develop, implement and evaluate health care and create program goals to fulfill objectives of the strategic plan. Ø Directs tracking/reporting of regulatory agencies. Ø Review prescriptions with clinicians when required or when implementing procedures for the drug programs (United Way and Pfizer or others as established) Ø Insure daily quality assurance checks for appropriate equipment. Ø Maintain the Pap smear log and ensures that patients are appropriately followed-up. Ø Maintains integrity of all pharmaceuticals. Perform other duties as assigned. |

| Job Requirements: | ||
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. 2-5 yrs. supervisory experience in a medical facility. 1-2 yrs. experience in a public/community health or physician office or equivalent. Minimum of five years experience in health care setting. Prior experience with X-Ray and Lab operations helpful. Current/valid Florida Nursing license; IV Therapy certification and HIVUpdate; current/valid BCLS certification, or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. Bilingual capability helpful; must have good interpersonal skills; must have flexibility and ability to juggle many obligations and set priorities.
Able to work flexible hours as needed. Continued employment is contingent on the successful completion of ECW Training. |
